Dance schools Swing in Rhythm and Slowfeet Studio have collaborated to create a recurring dance party. The schools teach swing dances that are danced to swing jazz. For their first event, they wanted a distinct visual brand that could be repeated for future events. To promote their event, they needed printed posters and social media visuals.

To emphasise the musical tone of the event, I focused on the jazzy aesthetic seen on record covers. Taking inspiration from greats such as Reid Miles and Burt Goldblatt, I analysed and collected the visual trends that would suit the dance event best.

  • Event happened 7th November 2021.

  • A3 posters were printed on Bio Top 170 g/m² paper, to give a natural, matt, uncoated feel.

  • Print run: 10 posters.

  • Social media visuals consisted of: Instagram posts, Facebook event banner and a digital poster.
